How we handle your photos
BoatPix doesn’t keep your photos. The photos you upload and the finished images stay in your own web browser, on your computer. Our servers never save them.
What happens when a photo is processed
Each exterior photo is sent through our server to our AI provider, OpenAI, which puts the boat in its new scene and sends the result straight back to your browser. OpenAI does not use these images to train its models. Like all OpenAI API traffic, they may be kept by OpenAI for up to 30 days to monitor for abuse, then deleted.
The Boat Match check sends small copies of the original and the result to the same provider, under the same terms, to compare the boat. Interior and detail photos are adjusted inside your browser and never leave your computer.
How long photos stay in your browser
To keep your computer tidy, a boat is cleared from your browser 14 days after you download its photos, or after 45 days with no activity. The app warns you before that happens. Download again any time before then.
Archive (optional add-on)
If your dealership adds the Archive, the boats you choose to save are stored in a private cloud archive that only your account can open. You can delete them from the archive at any time.
What we do keep
Your account details, your markets and brand kit, and simple usage records: which settings and fixes were used, whether a photo was approved, and what each photo cost to make. These records never include the photos themselves. We use them for billing and to make the results better.
